It was Friday, I was at school and suddenly I got called by my english teacher. My teacher told me to memorize a story, so I memorized a fairytale titled ” The Pied Piper Of Hamelin “. A couple of weeks later my teacher told me I was going to represent my class for the storytelling contest. I felt very happy but quite nervous too. When the contest took place, I was the fourth contestent out of fifty. I felt very scared when I was waiting for my turn. When it was my turn I remembered what I had practised, smile, look at the audience and calm down. When I told the story to the audience, they said my story is quite Ok. When I had finished, everyone clapped for me. I smiled and took a bow.
When everyone had their turn, the judges thought about the score they would give. When my english teacher announced the winners, I actually got first prize. I felt so suprised, I even have the deputy to become the storytelling school representive. I was so happy and excited.
That’s how I won the storytelling contest.
