Last Wednesday, we woke up as fresh as the morning dew. We knew we had a big day ahead of us. Everyone was excited. We would be leaving for Perth at around 10. At 7 o’ clock sharp, we left the house to go to the airport. Not forgetting to switch off lights and locking doors to keep the house safe. When we arrived at the airport, it was suprisingly busy, even though it was still dark outside.
After passing the immigrations and custom checks, we frantically jogged our way along to the gate, since we were very late. As soon as the flight attendant ripped our boarding pass, we carefully entered the the plane. After 6 hours on the plane, we landed safely at Perth International Airport.
When we stepped outside it was suprisingly not very cold. I expected it to be cold since it was autumn but I learned that it’s not as cold as other countries because it’s near the equator. We were picked up by my uncle. He is the only relative that I have that lives in Perth. He opens a restaurant business there. We drove over to his restaurant to have dinner. After that, we checked in to our hotel and then slept peacefully through the night.
Day 2
As soon as we woke up, we clambered into our swim suits and ran down to the pool. We splashed and swam a few strokes around the pool. It was a great start to the day. After drying up, we walked to The Perth Mint. It is said to have displayed the biggest gold coin on earth!
It was located a few hundred meters from our hotel so we enjoyed the view of lots of beautiful architecture along the way. When we were there, we had a look around at the shop, since the next tour will start in about another 20 minutes. But before the tour started, my brother started getting cranky because he thinks it will be boring and we were forced to go back home.
But on the way to the hotel, my mum suggested that we walk to the Queens Gardens which is a panoramic park full of greenery and scenic rows of flowers. We took a lot of pictures there as we strolled along the dazzling park. Whats more, there was a shimmering pond in the heart of the park full of beautiful water lilies and smooth feathered ducks and ducklings. The most memorable thing there was that my brother found a wild duck egg and accidentaly smashed it. Then my mum brought it home and fried it, since the egg didn’t run out the shell.
After lunch, we drove to a place called Scitech. It was a place sort of like an educational theme park. There were many displays that we can interact with and learn about it at the same time. We only had about two hours there since it closed at 4 and we arrived at 2.
After that, we went to a shopping complex called Watertown. That was my favourite part of the day. I got to go to a shop called Smiggle and YAAAY it was on sale! It was a stationary shop that sells cute, girly stationary that any girl would love. I bought highlighters in nail polish barrels and a black notebook. My sister also bought some gifts for her friends. We also had dinner before leaving. Another thing, we only went to one shop since all shops closed at 5 and we left Scitech at 4.
When we were going towards the car park to go home, my dad went to pay for the parking ticket. We were so suprised when we found out the cost was 5 dollars. It wasn’t really worth the money because we bought items on sale and the prices had a lot of discount. After all the shock we went home to rest and sleep. The next day we were going to Adventure World, so it’s good to get a good nights sleep.
Stay tuned.
