Turkey
This year we went to a country full of history. The country of Turkey, we got to see most of the attractions there. We went to the city of Istanbul. We got to see the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque ( Sultanahmet ) .
When we went to Hagia Sophia, we learned about the history of that architecture. It was first a church, then a mosque and then a museum. In Hagia Sophia today there are both Islamic and Christian features. It was a long walk there so we were exhausted when we went back to our hotel.
My Dad went to do his Friday Prayers at the Blue Mosque and after that us girls and my mom went to pray Zuhur there. There was a giant chandelier in the boys’s praying place. I saw the 6 minarets from the outside.
