I went to Istanbul,Turkey. In Istanbul there are many bazaars. Below this I will tell you about 2 very well known bazaars and a very beautiful, old palace that is now a big museum. This palace keeps the most oldest and valuable things inside it’s buildings, from the time of the Prophet Moses until right now.
SPICE BAZAAR
The spice bazaar sells spices, traditional food, perfumes and souvenirs. It is one of the largest bazaars in the city. It is the second largest shopping complex after the Grand Bazaar. Some people said the name of the bazaar was first “New Bazaar”. The Spice Bazaar is an “L”-shaped building, it almost has 88 rooms. The main entrance is in the southwest corner, in front of the Yeni Mosque.
GRAND BAZAAR
It is one of the largest and oldest markets in the world, with 61 streets and over 3,000 shops which attract between 250,000 and 400,000 visitors every day. The Grand Bazaar is located inside the city of Istanbul, in the district of Fatih. The Bazaar can easily be reached from Sultanahmet and Sirkeci by trams.
TOPKAPI PALACE
Topkapı Palace is a large palace in Istanbul, Turkey, that was the primary residence of the Ottoman Sultans for approximately 400 years (1465-1856) of their 624-year reign. As well as a royal residence, the palace was a setting for important occasions and royal entertainments. It is now a major tourist attraction and contains important holy relics of the Muslim world, including Muhammad’s SAW cloak and sword.
The Imperial Harem occupied one of the sections of the private apartments of the sultan; it contained more than 400 rooms. The harem was home to the sultan’s mother, the concubines and wives of the sultan and the rest of his family, including children, and their servants. The main street leading to the palace is called the Imperial Gate. It leads to the Hagia Sophia.
There are three courtyards. The first courtyard is the largest of all the courtyards of the palace. The 2nd courtyard is located behind the middle gate. The park used to be full of peacocks and gazelles. the third courtyard had the most trees and other plants.
