Children these days don’t always have have the mood to do house chores, especially when it comes to laundry and tidying. As a child, I know how this feels. We feel like the chores are wasting our time and also a burden to us.
We always ask ourselves ‘ Why can’t my parents hire a maid to clean the house every evening?’ or something like ‘ Why can’t we just drop the clothes off at the laundry shop?’. But keep on reading, and you will find that doing house chores is not as bad as it sounds.
First of all, we must realise that the chores can’t be completed on it’s own. If it’s not us doing the chores, who else will do it? The whole family must work together as a team to finish the chores. When we do something together, it is more fun and we are easily motivated to do the chores.
Furthermore, doing chores can’t at all be boring when you play a game while working. When everyone is starting to do their chores, you should shout ‘ The one to finish their chores last is a rotten egg!!’. That way, everyone will want to do their task quickly. Everyone will have the motivation to complete the so-called ‘boring chores’.
You should also ask your parents to do a reward system. When you finish your chores you will be rewarded. I bet you will finish your chores in a blink of an eye and even want to do other people’s chores. Whether the prize is a five pound note or a ticket to the new theme park, you will always be willing to complete your task.
So now you know how to turn ‘ Boring Chores Day’ to ‘ A Happy Holiday’. Do the chores as a team and make sure to turn the the chores into a game. From now on, I hope you will always complete your chores with a happy face.
